The UK Government, through the British Embassy in Jakarta, supports the Government of Indonesia in accelerating sustainable infrastructure. This partnership is realised through Melaju (‘accelerate’ in Bahasa Indonesia,) a collaborative platform that brings together key stakeholders to collaborate on policy, project development, investment mobilization, and knowledge-sharing.
Melaju supports Indonesia’s transition towards a net zero, nature-positive, just and inclusive future. It promotes full access to clean energy, green infrastructure, and net zero technology, in line with Indonesia’s own ambitions on infrastructure and urban development as outlined in the 2060 Long-Term Strategy for Low Carbon and Climate Resilience.
FCIP provides technical assistance for climate-positive infrastructure projects, helping Indonesia advance its climate goals through initiatives in bus rapid transit, solid waste management, and flood management. The programme supports well-prepared project pipelines, improved access to financing, and the delivery of sustainable infrastructure at scale.
UK PACT is a flagship programme under the UK’s International Climate Finance portfolio. It supports capacity building and knowledge sharing across sectors to accelerate low-carbon transitions. By connecting projects and partners, UK PACT creates opportunities for collaboration, learning, and lasting climate impact.
The Green Cities, Infrastructure and Programme (GCIEP) delivers the UK Expertise Offer (UKEO), created to meet the growing demand for operational tools and practical solutions that enhance urban planning and resilient infrastructure delivery. GCIEP refines and applies UK best practices to support partner governments in implementing high-quality, sustainable infrastructure.
